Fractional laser CO2 – laser treatments for face and body! SKIN REGENERATION (PHOTOREJUVENATION) - SCAR REMOVAL
Fractional laser provides elegant, highly-efficient, non-invasive treatment of issues related to skin damages caused by light influence and skin ageing. The purpose of the laser is to regenerate skin permanently as well as stimulate it to produce new collagen. The word - fractional- indicates the following, the micro zones are subject to treatment and the other areas are not affected, as the result, they accelerate the recovery of damaged zones. This method can be applied to treat skin damages caused by sunlight beams, skinwrinkles, scars after acne, stretch marks, surgery scars and chloasma.Thanksto applying fractional laser CO2 one can expect a very similar effect to very deepchemical peel, however, the healing period is a great deal shorter, therefore fractional laser CO2 is more common among patients.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding period
- Purulent lesions of the skin
- Active infection
- Active cold sores
- Previously used fillers in the treatment area
- Skin cancer
- Skin rejuvenation (deep and slight wrinkles, including wrinkles in the area of nose, eyes and conspicuous pores)
- Scars (various scars such as: post acne, post-surgery, burn, keloids and stretch marks)
- Inhomogeneous skin colour
- Age spots
- Improvement of skin density by stimulating production of collagen type III
The treatment is carried out under local anaesthesia - thus it is barley painful. An anaesthetic cream is applied in the area subject to treatment for around 30 minutes before the laser application. Next, a specialist ‘punches’, via the laser beam, a selected area by thousands of micro craters. Right after the treatment skin reddening can be noticeable and the skin itself seems to be stretched a lot. For about one - two hours after the treatment patients may experience a slight burning.
Over the period of 24 hours it’s not allowed to wet the skin. Sporadically, pinpoint bleeding may occur - then it’s advisable to press the area with a sterile compress. It’s recommended to apply a Vaseline jelly cream on the skin a few times a day for 5 days. Thanks to that the healing process is shortened. Three days after the treatment the patient can wash the treated area as well as put makeup on or shave the legs. It’s important not to use cosmetics containing alcohol for at least 2 weeks after the treatment. Convalescence (peeling) lasts on average around three -four days, whereas full recovery takes place within 2 weeks. In order to benefit from the full effect of the treatment, it’s necessary to undergo a few laser treatments. The most efficient effects can be achieved after 2-3 treatments every 6-8 weeks.
